Privacy policy
This page explains what Visual Engine ("we") stores when you use visualengine.net, and what you can do about it. We are a small Roblox game studio. We keep as little as we can.
When you just browse
We don't use advertising or tracking cookies, and we don't run analytics scripts on this site. Our host, Cloudflare, keeps standard server logs (such as IP address and pages requested) for security and to keep the site running.
When you sign in with Google
Signing in is optional. If you sign in with Google, Google shares these details with us, and we store them:
- Your Google account ID, so we recognise you next time.
- Your name and email address.
- Your profile picture address, to show on your account page.
We do not get your Google password, and we can't see anything else in your Google account.
What you can add yourself
- A display name and your Roblox username.
- Whether you want to be considered for playtests of our games.
When you use the contact form
We store your name, the email or Discord username you give us, the topic and your message, so the team can read and answer it. To stop spam we also keep a scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address next to the message, which we can't turn back into the address. You can ask us to delete a message at any time.
Cookies
Signing in sets one cookie that keeps you signed in. It is only used by this site and it is removed when you sign out. Signing in also sets a short-lived cookie that protects the Google sign-in step and is deleted straight after. The loading screen remembers that you've seen it in your browser's session storage until you close the tab.
How we use it
Only to run your account, to answer your messages, to contact you about playtests you signed up for, and to show staff a list of playtest sign-ups. We don't sell your information or share it with anyone else, except Cloudflare, which stores it for us.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account at any time from your account page. That removes everything above straight away. You can also ask us in our Discord server or through the contact form.
Age
You need to be old enough to have your own Google account in your country to sign in.
